LEGO Icons 10326 Natural History Museum visual tour and gallery

The next LEGO modular building has been revealed and 10326 Natural History Museum is packed with details to explore in our latest visual guide.

Arriving later this year, instead of January 1 as is tradition for the Modular Buildings Collection, 10326 Natural History Museum is the biggest LEGO modular building ever, and that can only mean a bumper visual guide and gallery to spot every possible detail ahead of launch on December 1.

From the rooftop to the lobby and the minifigures to the minifigure-sized exhibits, take a tour of this massive LEGO museum in our visual tour of the 2024 LEGO Modular Building, or should that be the second 2023 entry?

LEGO Icons 10326 Natural History Museum build

Measuring 39cm wide, 10326 Natural History Museum is the same width as 10255 Assembly Square but with more pieces. However, unlike many other modular buildings, it only stretches across two extra-tall floors, as well as the rooftop.

The model features a good amount of green space in front of the huge building with a cherry blossom tree, a pair of statues and grand white columns welcoming guests inside. Of course, there’s a detailed interior to explore too, but we’ll touch on the exhibits in a bit.

LEGO Icons 10326 Natural History Museum details

Inside and out, 10326 Natural History Museum is flush with details including a pair of posters advertising the latest exhibits, as you would see outside many non-LEGO museums. There’s a bonus room on the rooftop filled with treasures from the curator’s various expeditions too.

Inside the main building, a smashed exhibit offers an opportunity for storytelling and exploring whether this was an accident or vandalism. Either way, someone has to clean it up. Some cherry blossoms have blown onto the rooftop next to a telescope and a stray bone by the back door is being adored by a dog – hopefully, it’s not from the Brachiosaurus.

LEGO Icons 10326 Natural History Museum minifigures

Nine minifigures make up the cast of 10326 Natural History Museum, including a pair of static statues, unless you want to take some inspiration from Night at the Museum.

These minifigures feature a variety of new face prints, torsos and even the rare prosthetic leg element that has only been included in two other sets at the time of writing. There are several accessories to customise the scene too, including many for the window cleaner who uses the newer paperboy cap piece.

LEGO Icons 10326 Natural History Museum layout

Official images for 10326 Natural History Museum only show it next to 10312 Jazz Club and 10297 Boutique Hotel – the two most recent modular buildings aside from this set. However, remember that a few are retiring soon including the massive 10255 Assembly Square.

Until we have it in hand, we can at least rest assured that as a straight entry into the collection, 10326 Natural History Museum looks to line up surprisingly well with both the 2022 and 2023 modular buildings. The white detailing in 10297 Boutique Hotel meshes neatly with the museum.

LEGO Icons 10326 Natural History Museum exhibits

It wouldn’t be a museum without exhibits and it wouldn’t be the biggest LEGO museum without a huge number of exhibits. Official images show several, including a model of the Earth’s crust, a volcano and the star of the show – a Brachiosaurus Skeleton that stretches over both floors.

Upstairs, there’s an orrery, hats from history with miniature models and a map of Earth. Heading back to the ground floor, a whip is displayed on the wall and this may depict a fossil given its proximity to the skeleton. Alternatively, it could be a homage to one of several adventurers. Whatever it’s meant to be, it belongs in a museum.

10326 Natural History Museum will launch on December 1 for £259.99 / $299.99 / €299.99 and is available to pre-order now.

I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes.
