LEGO Ideas 21351 The Nightmare Before Christmas officially revealed

The LEGO Ideas theme is heading to Christmas Town with the newly-revealed 21351 The Nightmare Before Christmas, which is heading to shelves just in time for Halloween.

Based on a submission by fan designer Simon Scott, 21351 The Nightmare Before Christmas is the 59th LEGO Ideas set and weighs in at 2,193 pieces for £169.99 / $199.99 / €199.99. Those elements come together to create three iconic locations from the 1993 movie: Spiral Hill, Halloween Town Hall and Jack Skellington’s house.

There are eight characters in the box in total, including Jack Skellington, Sally, Santa Claus, Lock, Shock, Barrel, Zero the dog and a brick-built figure of The Mayor. Details scattered throughout the build include a walking bathtub, town hall lectern, pumpkins, a graveyard and Jack Skellington’s Christmas formula, the latter of which is revealed by a removable roof.

“I’m a massive fan of LEGO and Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas film, so I’m honoured to see my creation come to life in physical brick form,” Simon said. “The film is such a family hit with young and old fans from around the world. The Ideas team have done a fantastic job creating a wonderfully playable set that is just as appealing as a display piece.”

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.

Lovely, especially the fountain! However, I do wish Lock, Stock and Barrel came with a mask option, as they are they don’t look anything like the characters. The other minifigs look great though.
