It could be harder to get a full set of rumoured Marvel CMFs

There’s more reason to want to collect all the minifigures – but it’s also harder to do so than ever before.

According to the latest rumours, reported via brick_clicker, the rumoured 71039 Marvel Series 2 will come in boxes, rather than the usual blind bags. While this means that there will reportedly be more accessories included, it will make it harder to guess which minifigures are in each package. In the past, we’ve been able to advise on the packs’ distribution in boxes and even what to feel for in blind bags, this could well become trickier with the new setup.

However, there’s also more reason than ever to want to get specific minifigures. According to the rumours from brick_clicker, the three X-Men figures, Wolverine, Beast, and Storm will all include some parts that you’ll need to make a brick-built Sentinel. These AI-powered robots appear in the comics, designed to track down and kill mutants, first created by Dr. Bolivar Trask. They appear several times in the X-Men comics and then in X-Men: Days of Future Past, adapted into huge machines sold by Trask Industries that went on to turn the world into a war-torn wasteland, driving mutants to near extinction.

If the same scale is adhered to for the LEGO versions of the Sentinels, it could be that they’ll be replicated as big-figs, in the same vein as Thanos in sets like LEGO Marvel 76192 Avengers: Endgame Final Battle. With the parts needed to build it rumoured to be spread across the three X-Men minifigures, that means you’ll need to get your hands on all of them in order to build it.

Once we get our hands on the rumoured 71039 Marvel Series 2, we might be able to offer some insight on how to get all three of the X-Men figures. Of course, this is all speculation for now until we get official confirmation from the LEGO Group on how the possible Collectible Minifigures will be packaged – or if they are indeed on their way at all.
