Time to head back to Hogwarts! Three new LEGO Harry Potter sets available now
September 1 is the most important day in any young Hogwarts student’s calendar, marking the return to school and the arrival of new sets.
LEGO Harry Potter welcomes two dynamic display sets today, now available to buy: 76417 Gringotts Wizarding Bank – Collectors’ Edition and 76419 Hogwarts Castle and Grounds. It’s been a long time coming to see the iconic bank replicated in LEGO elements and the end result is certainly something. Split across two levels, you can choose whether to display 76417 in all its enormous towering height, or separate it into over- and underground sections, with the white-brick bank itself fitting in nicely with 75978 Diagon Alley.
Elsewhere, you can actually return to the wizarding school with 76419 Hogwarts Castle and Grounds, a smaller-scale version of the castle than we’ve seen in previous sets but with all the same detail and references as other versions. From a miniature flying carriage to welcome the Beauxbatons pupils in the skies to a peek into the Chamber of Secrets deep in the bowels of the mountain, there’s scenes from throughout the series to take in.
Elsewhere, Christmas preparations have begun, with the release of 76418 Harry Potter Advent Calendar. This year, the festive LEGO calendar will take builders to Hogsmeade, building different sections of various wizarding businesses, from Aberforth’s Hogs’ Head to Rosmerta’s Three Broomsticks. The cardboard calendar itself acts as a backdrop, counting down to Christmas with a new mini build each day.
These three new sets will be joined by two brand new GWPs, 30651 Quidditch Practice for orders above £24 / $40 / €40 and 40568 Gringotts Vault for orders above £115 / $130 / €130. The latter pairs with 76417 Gringotts Wizarding Bank – Collectors’ Edition to expand the underground vaults, as well as providing an extra goblin to man it.
