LEGO Ideas 21343 Viking Village officially revealed, prices confirmed
The LEGO Group has added 21343 Viking Village to the official online store, revealing more images and confirming its price internationally.
The 51st LEGO Ideas set was originally revealed prematurely by French retailer fnac, but the product listing at LEGO.com has given us our best look yet at the 2,103-piece model. 21343 Viking Village is based on a concept by fan designer BrickHammer, and took pole position in a LEGO Ideas poll (in conjunction with Target) to give a rejected 10K project a second chance at becoming an official set.
Built in three separable sections, 21343 Viking Village taps into the same Norse aesthetics as last summer’s 31132 Viking Ship and the Midgard Serpent, and trades out the muted colour scheme of BrickHammer’s original design for something that pops off the shelf. It’s a simple change – dark brown has become reddish brown, for the most part – but one that evokes a similar design alteration to 2021’s 21325 Medieval Blacksmith.
The three sections consist of a smithy, longhouse and watchtower, all of which sit on a watery blue base (so it should pair nicely with the Creator 3-in-1 ship) and are dotted with white elements, in a nod to BrickHammer’s original snow-covered build. There are four minifigures in the box to populate the scene, while the product description mentions that the shields (at least) are printed.
There’s also a uniquely-printed version of Thor’s hammer Mjolnir, a small cave to mine for materials, newly-recoloured fern elements in white and plenty more to discover among just these images. You’ll be able to discover all that 21343 Viking Village has to offer when it launches on October 1, 2023.
The LEGO Ideas set is now confirmed to retail for £124.99 in the UK, $129.99 in the US and €139.99 in Europe.

- I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
