‘Tis the year for LEGO log cabins – and a lot of them
2023 has truly been the year of the log cabin with the LEGO Group – and the latest Winter Village set looks to continue the trend.
Whether it’s the cosy LEGO Ideas 21338 A-Frame Cabin released in February or the newly-revealed 10325 Alpine Lodge, there have been an awful lot of log cabins coming out this year. This is in no way a bad thing, which each one managing to bring something new to the unofficial theme.
After all, you can’t really say that 21341 Hocus Pocus – The Sanderson Sisters’ Cottage brings the same vibe as 21338 A-Frame Cabin. The former is Disney’s best version of spooky, packed full of references to the iconic film, whereas the latter is autumn wrapped up in a warm cosy set.
There’s even been a gift-with-purchase that matches the log cabin vibe in 40594 Houses of the World 3. The GWP reflects a similar Alpine style as 10325 Alpine Lodge, with rounded ‘logs’ offering a rustic facade to the brick-built lodge. The similarities between the two highlight that there are only so many ways you can do a cabin – so can 10325 Alpine Lodge stand out from every other LEGO log cabin in 2023 as well as those that came before it?
