Time’s up for LEGO Ideas x Lofi Girl challenge submissions

The intake for submissions to the recent LEGO Ideas x Lofi Girl challenge is now closed, with the contest moving on to the judging stage.

LEGO Ideas recently revealed it would be entering into a partnership with hip-hop ambient streamer Lofi Girl for a new challenge, with some impressive prizes up for grabs. The contest called for LEGO set designs and concepts based around the theme of where you would like to relax, matching Lofi Girl’s brand of chilled-out streams and the relaxing activity of building LEGO models.

The LEGO Ideas x Lofi Girl challenge launched on September 19, but if you haven’t yet submitted your entry, time is now up. The intake period for the contest has closed, meaning that a panel of LEGO Ideas experts and members of the Lofi Girl Team will review the submissions, with the winner to be announced on November 7.

The judges for the challenge will be ranking entries based on the following criteria:

lego

  • Overall coolness and originality: 25%
  • Most inspired details: 25%
  • Relevance to challenge theme: 25%
  • Best use of LEGO elements: 25%

Only one Grand Prize Winner will walk away with a bundle of goodies that includes 10312 Jazz Club, 21323 Grand Piano, 21334 Jazz Quartet, 21329 Fender Stratocaster and the Lofi Girl Plush Collection.

Following last month’s announcement of the challenge, the Lofi Girl YouTube channel released a new video, transforming the study-focused girl into a LEGO minifigure, complete with cat, brick-built room and suitably ambient soundtrack. The playlist can also currently be streamed on SpotifyApple Music and other audio streaming platforms, as well as YouTube.
