LEGO clarifies process for claiming Insiders Weekend discounts
The LEGO Group has outlined the process for claiming the upcoming LEGO Insiders Weekend deals, clarifying that the discount codes will work in the same way as physical rewards.
Among multiple gifts-with-purchase and double Insiders points on all sets (and in the US, triple and quadruple points on selected products), the LEGO Group is also slashing prices on a handful of recent and retiring sets across LEGO Insiders Weekend. The precursor to Black Friday runs from November 18 to 19, and includes tempting deals like $100 off 10307 Eiffel Tower and £50 off 10255 Assembly Square.
To take advantage of those discounts, though, you’ll first need to retrieve the relevant code from the Insiders Rewards Centre. Each model will have a corresponding code available for the sum total of zero points. You’ll then need to enter that code at checkout when placing your order at LEGO.com – and rather than a regular discount code unlocked by exchanging Insiders points, the Insiders Weekend discount code must be entered into the same field as the code for a physical reward.
That means the same rules apply to these discounts as physical rewards, or in other words, you can only use one per order. You won’t be able to save £32 on 21325 Medieval Blacksmith and £50 on 75309 Republic Gunship in the same order, for example, and nor will you be able to redeem a physical Insiders reward (such as the new festive bauble) alongside claiming a LEGO Insiders Weekend discount.
Given all of the discounted sets are expensive enough alone to qualify for free delivery, placing multiple orders shouldn’t prove that much of a hassle. And because they go in a different field, you’ll still be able to stack standard discount vouchers (for £5, £10, £20 or £50, for example) claimed using Insiders points. But you won’t be able to redeem any physical rewards in those same orders.
If you do have any physical reward codes waiting in the wings for your next LEGO.com order, you might be wise saving them for Black Friday (perhaps to use when ordering 76269 Avengers Tower, for instance, which launches November 24). For now, here’s a quick reminder of every discount up for grabs from November 17.

The event will run from November 18 to 19, which presents another conundrum for shoppers: should you snap up the discounts above on Friday, or gamble that they’ll still be in stock Saturday when multiple freebies go live? The choice is ultimately yours, but there’s a good chance the retiring sets at least may sell out quickly…

- I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.

so basically if you want to pick it up from the Lego store in the UK you can’t, you have to order online – not happy about that (it’s winter, people work, damaged wet box syndrome) and I can’t see the reason why you cant get say 6xinsider points instead of what would amount to 20% off and double points – last year you could so this is yet another backwards set from Lego
