Get a first look at LEGO Store Exclusives for 2024

Listings on the LEGO Group’s product certification have given us our first peek at the LEGO Store Exclusives that should be on their way in 2024.

Admittedly, they’re quite blurry first looks but all the same. After a few were spotted on the LEGO Group’s building instructions page, we’ve now got four listings on the product certification page, complete with images. That means we know that 40709 Spring Animal Playground, 40710 Pirate Splash Battle, 40711 Hedgehog Picnic Date, and 40713 Japan Postcard are presumably on their way soon, likely in early 2024.

The box for 40710 Pirate Splash Battle is clearly branded as a LEGOLAND set, much like previous sets such as 2021’s 40473 LEGOLAND Water Park and 2019’s 40347 LEGOLAND Driving School Cars. This suggests the set will be based on an attraction from one of the many LEGO-based theme parks – and you can just about spot some LEGOLAND flags waving in the set too.

40709 Spring Animal Playground and 40711 Hedgehog Picnic Date both feature animals and nature prominently, perhaps suggesting that they will be spring-timed sets but we’re just speculating here.

40713 Japan Postcard continues the trend of brick-built postcards from around the world, this time of course focusing on Japan. It appears to be a similar size to those that came before and, like 40659 Australia Postcard, represents the entirety of Japan, rather than one city. It’s decorated with cherry blossom trees, a snow-capped mountain in the background (Mount Fuji?), and red, white, and grey buildings in typical Japanese style. One even looks remarkably similar to 21060 Himeji Castle, perhaps being a little nod to the LEGO Architecture set.

There’s no word yet on the dates or prices for these sets, so we’ll need to wait for official confirmation for the LEGO Group on how exactly you can get your hands on these builds.
