LEGO 71047 Dungeons & Dragons Collectible Minifigures rumoured for 2024
This year’s third LEGO Collectible Minifigures series will reportedly be hooked to Dungeons & Dragons, celebrating the tabletop roleplaying game’s 50th anniversary alongside the upcoming Ideas set.
The LEGO Group is already teaming up with Dungeons & Dragons publisher Wizards of the Coast for Lucas Bolt’s contest-winning Ideas set, which is thought to be dropping in a matter of weeks. But the two companies have apparently decided to go one step beyond that roughly-3,000-piece build with an entire range of Collectible Minifigures devoted to the game’s fantasy characters.
Instagram user maxbautde and redditor Clay_Bricks report that 71047 Dungeons & Dragons will debut on September 1, 2024, consisting of 12 new minifigures priced at €3.99 each. They’re a who’s-who of D&D monsters, non-playable named characters and generic classes and races, from a dwarf and sorcerer to The Lady of Pain and Tasha the Witch Queen.
Check out all 12 characters said to be in this series in the table below.
71047 Dungeons & Dragons minifigure | 71047 Dungeons & Dragons details and accessories |
---|---|
Female dwarf barbarian | Axe (new mould), torch, alternative male face |
Githyanki warlock (yellow) | Eye staff, new moulds for knife and hair, alternative female face |
Tiefling sorcerer (orange) | Red baby dragon, trans-pink lightning, new moulds for head and hair, alternative male face |
Dragonborn paladin | Pearl gold VIDIYO dragon head, grey armour, blue shield, mace |
Halfling druid | Cape, bird, staff, antlered hood (new mould), alternative female face |
Aarakocra ranger (white) | Bow, small dog, Faun legs, new moulds for head and wings |
Mind flayer | Intellect devourer (new mould), new mould for head |
Strahd von Zarovich | Sword, goblet, rat, cape |
Half-elf bard | Printed lute, sword, new moulds for hair and scarf, alternative female face |
The Lady of Pain | Printed cube, ‘fancy’ cape, new mould for head |
Szass Tam | Trans-red skull, energy blast, dark red collared cape |
Tasha the Witch Queen | Book, cauldron, witch hat/hairpiece first used for Dani Dennison |
Clay_Bricks claims that the minifigures will mostly be flesh-toned rather than yellow (save for those with a specific colour noted above), but no skin is showing on any of their torso or leg prints (besides white on the Aarakocra’s legs). That means it should be relatively simple to swap their heads out for yellow alternatives, or simply to repurpose their body parts, for wider LEGO castle and fantasy builds and layouts.
71047 Dungeons & Dragons will likely arrive in the same cardboard packaging as 71039 Marvel Series 2 and 71045 Series 25, given the LEGO Group has stated it will take at least three to four series to make any substantial changes to the design based on consumer feedback. But it’s seemingly already taken at least one step to prevent the boxes being torn open in stores.
Scanning the larger of two different data matrix codes spread across 71045 Series 25 boxes using the Brick Search app reveals the minifigure inside, which is an even quicker and easier way of grabbing your faves than feeling out the old foil bags. Fingers crossed that solution sticks around for subsequent 2024 Collectible Minifigures series – including 71047 Dungeons & Dragons.
That’s if this rumour holds water, of course. Take it with a grain of salt until we get official confirmation from the LEGO Group.

Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
