LEGO The Lord of the Rings GWP sells out – and already available on secondhand market
As predicted, LEGO 40693 The Lord of the Rings: Fell Beast is already selling out in several regions around the world – and appearing on secondhand markets.
Sales of LEGO Icons 10333 The Lord of the Rings: Barad-dûr are clearly going well because the associated GWP, 40693 The Lord of the Rings: Fell Beast, has already sold out in the UK and Europe. It’s still available in the United States, but likely for a limited time.
That means that the GWP lasted less than two hours in two major regions, despite officially being available until June 3. For such a highly-anticipated set as 10333 The Lord of the Rings: Barad-dûr, it seems likely the GWP will sell out in more areas of the world. What’s more, it’s already appearing on secondhand marketplaces like Bricklink, with 12 listings already in place at the time of writing.
40693 The Lord of the Rings: Fell Beast is being sold for as high as £170, almost half the price of 10333 The Lord of the Rings: Barad-dûr itself. While also not hard to predict, it does highlight just how in demand the GWP is, with LEGO The Lord of the Rings fans clamouring to get their hands on it.
