LEGO 40688 Trophy Award gift-with-purchase officially revealed
An upcoming LEGO gift-with-purchase has finally been officially revealed, although we still don’t know when to expect 40688 Trophy Award.
The LEGO Group isn’t currently offering customers any physical GWPs, unless you live in Australia and New Zealand that is. While double LEGO Insiders points have kicked off today, alongside three Space bundles, there’s no sign of the next promotional set free with qualifying spends or even when one might be arriving.
We have had some hints of upcoming GWP models though, with 40689 Firework Celebrations recently revealed and looking likely to arrive summer 2024. That set will also be joined by 40688 Trophy Award at some point in the months to come, with a listing for the celebratory build finally officially added to LEGO.com today.
40688 Trophy Award is a 157-piece model of a brick-built trophy, one that comes with a variety of stickers and tiles. The customisable GWP includes four smaller tiles with stickers to represent first place, gaming, music and sport, plus five larger stickers with a variety of messages, such as ‘Well done’ and ‘#1Mum.’
Standing over 11cm high, 10cm wide and 7cm deep, 40688 Trophy Award also features customisable ribbons in a variety of team colours, allowing builders to further change the appearance of the trophy as they see fit.
Although 40688 Trophy Award is listed on LEGO.com as having a retail price of £10.99 / $12.99 / €12.99, the gift-with-purchase should be available as part of a future promotion, with qualifying spends receiving the set for free.
No official details regarding a potential release date for 40688 Trophy Award have been revealed so far, but we suspect we’ll probably know more about the model in the weeks to come.
