LEGO Star Wars Dark Falcon is a Trojan Horse for memes
LEGO Star Wars 75398 The Dark Falcon is something new even for long-term fans of the theme, offering more and more the longer you spend with it.
Thanks to the first look at LEGO Star Wars Rebuild the Galaxy sets, we’ve got our first (if blurry) look at the minifigures for the upcoming set, which are truly some of the weirdest we’ll get all year – and that’s saying something in the 25th anniversary year of LEGO Star Wars. While some are recognisable from deep LEGO Star Wars lore or even the mainstream movies, others are much deeper cuts into brick-built culture from a galaxy far, far away – and some are entirely new to even hardcore fans.
Predictably, the weird and wonderful minifigures included have sparked a wide range of emotions and reactions along. Darth Jar Jar himself is a meme made real, so reactions to him are leading the charge – but they’re not limited to the would-be Sith Lord.
Brick Fanatics‘ own Matthew has braved the depths of the internet so you don’t have to, digging into the memes and the history that backs up each and every one of the minifigures, adding some context to the otherwise purely bizarre minifigures of 75398 The Dark Falcon. We hope you enjoy, and drop a subscribe to reward him for his efforts.

- I write about all the very best fandoms – and that means LEGO, of course. Spending so much time looking at and talking about LEGO sets is dangerous for my bank balance, but the LEGO shelves are thriving. You win some, you lose some.
