LEGO Harry Potter’s rumoured 2025 slate could be a sign of the far future

Early rumours for LEGO Harry Potter’s 2025 slate include another microscale location set and it could be a promising sign of things to come.

The four biggest and most expensive LEGO Harry Potter sets include 71043 Hogwarts Castle, 75978 Diagon Alley, 76405 Hogwarts Express Collectors’ Edition and 76417 Gringotts Wizarding Bank Collectors’ Edition. Of this selection, 71043 Hogwarts Castle has received a smaller alternative option in the form of 76419 Hogwarts Castle and Grounds, but it might not be the last.

Rumours for LEGO Harry Potter in January 2025 from YouTuber JediJACPenguin include a microscale Diagon Alley, which could be the 76419 Hogwarts Castle and Grounds for 75978 Diagon Alley

It’s an interesting proposition, especially since the rumoured name for the set is 76444 Diagon Alley: Wizarding Shops, possibly excluding Gringotts and focusing instead on the shops down the main stretch of the street.

Should this rumour be accurate, 76419 Hogwarts Castle and Grounds may have only been the start of a new 18+ LEGO Harry Potter set collection. It could be a collection that depicts the most expensive sets in the theme at a smaller scale and price point.

While this is only speculation based on rumours, that may mean that a more affordable version of 76405 Hogwarts Express Collectors’ Edition and 76417 Gringotts Wizarding Bank Collectors’ Edition are in our future and the former would particularly benefit from an expanded scope and more platforms.

With any luck, 76419 Hogwarts Castle and Grounds is only the start in a multi-year spanning collection of sets but for now, nothing has been confirmed for the future of LEGO Harry Potter

All rumoured information should be taken with caution while we await an official announcement. Here’s what else is rumoured for the theme in 2025 so far.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
