LEGO Star Wars: Skeleton Crew first appeared at San Diego Comic-Con

It turns out that LEGO Star Wars: Skeleton Crew was officially revealed at San Diego Comic-Con thanks to a couple of hidden minifigures.

LEGO Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is known to have a LEGO set launching on August 1, but it has yet to be officially revealed. We now know that two minifigures from 75374 The Onyx Cinder were featured at the LEGO Group’s booth at San Diego Comic-Con, revealing the existence of LEGO Skeleton Crew a few days ago. It didn’t technically skip the event as previously reported.

Jenmarie on X (formerly Twitter) shared this revelation from the event, highlighting that Neel the Ortolan from 75374 The Onyx Cinder was in a massive display of minifigures and creatures. Footage online from DuckBricks also points out that Jod’s minifigure was on display as well. The set itself was otherwise completely absent from Comic-Con.

It may be hard to believe that the LEGO Group would feature these minifigures in an official display before the reveal of the set that they are included in, but that’s exactly what has happened.

Listings from multiple retailers confirm that 75374 The Onyx Cinder launches on August 1, and we shall have to see whether the set is revealed on LEGO.com tomorrow ahead of its release at midnight, or whether it isn’t launching on August 1.

In the meantime, at least we have a couple of confirmed names to match with some of the minifigures in 75374 The Onyx Cinder and you can find out more about the upcoming LEGO Star Wars set by clicking here

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
