LEGO Mario Kart 2025 sets officially revealed
The LEGO Group has officially revealed the first wave of LEGO Mario Kart sets coming in 2025 at this year’s gamescom event.
Hooked to the trio of Mario, Luigi and Peach digital figures that have headlined the entire LEGO Super Mario theme to date (so, bad news for anyone holding out hope for minifigures), these buildable Mario Kart sets include karts, bikes, a garage and a grand prix, with characters such as Donkey Kong, Baby Peach and Yoshi all in the mix.
Check out the first details on each and every one of these LEGO Mario Kart 2025 sets below. You’ll be able to pick them up from January 1.
72031 Yoshi Bike
Price: £12.99 / $14.99 / €14.99 Pieces: 133 Release date: January 1, 2025
A light-blue Yoshi rides a green bike in the smallest LEGO Mario Kart set, 72031 Yoshi Bike, which comes in at a very affordable £12.99 / $14.99 / €14.99. Accessories include green and red shells, a banana skin, an item box and several traffic cones.
72032 Standard Kart
Price: £17.99 / $19.99 / €19.99 Pieces: 174 Release date: January 1, 2025
72032 Standard Kart will likely be the quintessential LEGO Mario Kart set for most people (especially if you’ve got the digital Mario figure to pop into the driving seat), and includes Toad in his pit crew uniform, a workstation, a detachable glider for the kart and a bunch of item accessories.
72033 Donkey Kong & DK Jumbo
Price: £29.99 / $34.99 / €34.99 Pieces: 387 Release date: January 1, 2025
If you’re looking for something a little meatier from LEGO Mario Kart (that also comes with a character to drive its kart), 72033 Donkey Kong & DK Jumbo might be the one to aim for in 2025. The 387-piece set includes red and green shells, a stud-shooter to launch them and a target that looks to deploy a banana skin.
72034 Baby Mario vs. Baby Luigi
Price: £24.99 / $29.99 / €29.99 Pieces: 321 Release date: January 1, 2025
The first LEGO Super Mario: Mario Kart set to include two racers, 72034 Baby Mario vs. Baby Luigi bundles in a Biddybuggy for Baby Mario and a Tri-Speeder for Baby Luigi, then equips them with shells on shooters to compete in a balloon battle. Mario Kart isn’t just about racing, after all.
72035 Toad’s Garage
Price: £34.99 / $39.99 / €39.99 Pieces: 390 Release date: January 1, 2025
Jumping up to the mid-range LEGO Mario Kart sets brings us to 72035 Toad’s Garage, which includes a nifty LEGO version of the B Dasher kart (MK8 fans will recognise it instantly), as well as two blue Toads in pit crew gear, a workbench and plenty of options for customising karts.
72036 Baby Peach & Grand Prix Set
Price: £69.99 / $79.99 / €79.99 Pieces: 823 Release date: January 1, 2025
The headline set of the first LEGO Mario Kart wave comes in at a still surprisingly affordable £69.99 / $79.99 / €79.99, and sets the scene for a race with 72036 Baby Peach & Grand Prix Set. Its 823 pieces build into three different racers – Toad on the standard bike, Lemmy in the Landship kart and Baby Peach in her Wild Wiggler kart – as well as a starting gate, podium, a bunch of accessories and even a Lakitu to signal the start of the race.

- I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
