Gamescom visitors to Cologne can build a free LEGO gaming controller
If you’re heading to Cologne for Gamescom, add in a visit to the local LEGO store to take part in a gaming-themed free Make & Take event.
The official LEGO Store in Cologne is getting into the spirit of Gamescom, an annual trade fair for video games that visits the German city each year. The store is running a free Make & Take event where visitors over the age of six can build a tiny gaming controller and take it home with them. The second of the two events will be held on August 22 between 3pm and 5pm.
The miniature models are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so make sure to get there on time to avoid disappointment. The build is made up largely of black bricks, with colourful ‘buttons’ on the top that mimic a generic gaming controller. Even if you can’t get there in person, it’s possible that instructions will surface online so people around the world can build their own version of the mini-build.
Gamescom has played host to a surprising amount of LEGO reveals this year, including the launch of the LEGO Mario Kart wave and the first look at three new LEGO Animal Crossing sets.
