LEGO Harry Potter 76437 The Burrow lives up to its collectable name

LEGO Harry Potter 76437 The Burrow Collectors’ Edition lives up to the collectable namesake more than any other massive model before it.

There’s something unusual in 76437 The Burrow Collectors’ Edition compared to every other LEGO Collectors’ Edition set, and it’s in plain view for all to see. Aside from 76391 Hogwarts Icons Collectors’ Edition for the 20th anniversary of the theme, the LEGO Harry Potter Collectors’ Edition sets have not included the current collectable for the theme.

In the past, this was the randomised Chocolate Frog card tiles, which were not featured in 76405 Hogwarts Express Collectors’ Edition or 76417 Gringotts Wizarding Bank Collectors’ Edition. It’s worth noting that the collectable cards were no longer included in standard sets in 2023 – when the latter set was released though.

Now, 76437 The Burrow Collectors’ Edition is changing that with the inclusion of at least two of the current collectible LEGO Harry Potter item. At least two randomised portraits are available in the upcoming LEGO Harry Potter set inside the home.

This will be useful to those seeking to collect all 14 portraits randomly scattered across the 2024 LEGO Harry Potter sets. In a non-anniversary situation, it’s the first time that a Collectors’ Edition set has been collectible for more than just its subject and its minifigures. 76437 The Burrow Collectors’ Edition is collectible for both of those reasons too though.

Hopefully, this is a permanent change moving forward for whatever the current collectible item will be across future LEGO Harry Potter waves. It’s good to know that those spending the higher amounts on the LEGO Harry Potter Collectors’ Edition sets will likely be able to continue other collections too.

76437 The Burrow Collectors’ Edition will be available exclusively to LEGO Insiders on September 1, before a wider release through official LEGO channels from September 4, for £219.99 / $259.99 / €259.99. Click here to read our new review of the massive model.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
