LEGO Friends 2025 set rumours include airport, apartments and ice cream truck

At least 18 different LEGO Friends sets are rumoured to be landing on shelves in January 2025, including an airport, ice cream truck and restaurant.

The leading LEGO mini-doll theme will be into its third year of rebooted content come 2025, and it’s shaping up to be as prolific as ever. Instagram user a.clay.brick reports that at least 18 new LEGO Friends sets are dropping in January, running the gamut from characters’ rooms and shops to a brand new airport – the first in the theme since 2015’s 41109 Heartlake City Airport.

42656 Heartlake City Airport and Airplane is also said to include the first aircraft since 2020’s 41429 Heartlake City Airplane, but for what price is still a mystery at this point. The 2015 airport retailed for £74.99 / $89.99 / €89.99 for 692 pieces, with much of the set’s budget weighted towards the plane – but it’s easy to imagine a new version coming in bigger and more expensive 10 years later.

Also on the list for 2025 is 42670 Heartlake City Apartments and Stores, which on paper sounds like it could fit into the same template as 41732 Downtown Flower and Design Stores and 41704 Main Street Building, two of the biggest LEGO Friends sets to date. The theme has topped its previous record every year since 2022, so it wouldn’t be out of the question for 2025 to deliver an even bigger model than 42639 Andrea’s Modern Mansion.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
