Adventure in Transylvania receives the most votes of any BrickLink LEGO set
The LEGO Group has revealed that Series 5 of the BrickLink Designer Program includes the most heavily-requested LEGO set in the entire line-up so far.
A total of 2.11 million votes were cast during the crowd support stage of Series 5 of the BrickLink Designer Program, distributed across 305 submissions from 218 designers. The LEGO Group has not disclosed the exact breakdown of those votes, but has confirmed that SleeplessNight’s Adventure in Transylvania received the most votes of any single LEGO model in the program so far.
It’s little wonder then that it’s among the five finalists that will enter crowdfunding for Series 5 next June, with finished products expected to ship from October 2025. Adventure in Transylvania is SleeplessNight’s third successful submission to the BrickLink Designer Program across these first five series, following Series 1’s Mountain Fortress and Series 4’s Siege Encampment.
This third project leans into spooky motifs and archetypes of vampires, including Bram Stoker’s Dracula, conjuring up a Gothic castle deep in the heart of Bucharest. Built in the same style as (for example) 10305 Lion Knights’ Castle, the model can swing open to reveal a sprawling interior or swing shut for a cohesive, fully-enclosed dwelling.
Just don’t expect it to come cheap: at exactly 4,000 pieces, it’s the biggest set in the BrickLink Designer Program set (by part count) to date. The exact number of elements could change as SleeplessNight and the BrickLink team refine the design for stability and so on over the next few months, but it’s unlikely to fluctuate too much. And that means we’re probably looking at a price tag of around £299.99 / $379.99 / €339.99.
That was the price for SleeplessNight’s Mountain Fortress in Series 1, which came in at 3,995 pieces. You may need to add a little extra to account for inflation by the time we hit summer 2025, but suffice to say it’s probably a good idea to start saving now. One more thing: SleeplessNight’s submission was created digitally in Studio, but they have pieced together the set for a test build in real life over on Instagram…

- I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
