LEGO Jurassic World often features playsets without too much wider appeal but 76962 Baby Bumpy: Ankylosaurus is cute enough to catch anyone’s eye. Moving slightly further up in price, 60420 Yellow Construction Excavator is now available for just £49.99 / $54.99 / €54.99, but it packs a lot into 633 pieces – including a surprising amount of functionality. the articulated boom and operator’s cab can rotate 360 degrees for a full construction experience, along with three minifigures to round out a full building site scene.

We were undoubtedly impressed by 21349 Tuxedo Cat when we had it for review, so it’s no surprise that it’s making it onto this list. While there’s room for improvement, at £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99, the latest LEGO Ideas set is cheaper than a real cat – plus it won’t spit up hairballs or knock over your other LEGO sets. Win win!

Best LEGO June 2024 set for between £100 and £150

In a year where there were plenty of dragon builds to choose from, 71822 Source Dragon of Motion still managed to impress. With a posable head, neck, wings, feet, and tail, the play and display options are virtually endless. When you remember that the 1,716-piece LEGO NINJAGO set also includes six minifigure, six smaller spirit dragons, and a throne-style saddle to ride the dragon on, it seems well worth the £129.99 / $149.99 / €149.99 price tag.

Best LEGO June 2024 set for between £150 and £200

Even if you’re not planning on buying up all of the new minifigure-scale sets based on Hogwarts Castle, 76435 Hogwarts Castle: The Great Hall is an impressive addition to the theme. The detailed exterior of the hall itself captures the beauty of the wizarding school and it’s packed full of minifigures, as well as a big-fig troll to boot.

Best LEGO June 2024 set for over £200

If you’re looking to spend a sizable sum, don’t overlook 71814 Tournament Temple City. LEGO NINJAGO fan or no, the sprawling, colourful landscape features some creative building techniques and detailed design elements. Thrown in some creative side builds like the ridable dragon and you’ve got yourself a winning set, all for £219.99 / $249.99 / €249.99.
