Custom LEGO Ideas Jaws display stand recreates the iconic poster

The fan designer behind LEGO Ideas 21342 The Insect Collection has created an unofficial display stand for 21350 Jaws that steps on LEGO Art’s toes.

LEGO Ideas fan designer and YouTuber José María Pérez Suero, aka hachiroku24 online, has shared an impressive custom display set on reddit, designed to go with the latest addition to the LEGO Ideas them, 21350 Jaws. Although not designed by José but instead by fellow fan designer Johnny Campbell, 21350 Jaws is currently available for LEGO Insiders around the world.

Although it comes with its own black base that supports both Bruce himself and the accompanying boat, José has created an alternative way to display 21350 Jaws. Much like the original teaser that the LEGO Group shared on social media for the set, it recreates the iconic classic movie poster in bricks.

You can attach the shark to the brick-built ocean section of the display piece. The scale between Bruce and the minifigure above gives a similar sense of horror that the original poster did and is a creative way of displaying your new build. It also wouldn’t be too tricky to attach hooks to the back of the frame to hang it on the wall, much like the framed LEGO Art sets.

Indeed, it looks so good that it makes us hope that the LEGO Art designers one day turn their skills to designing official brick-built movie posters. Perhaps in the same way that the now-retired 31207 Floral Art had different versions to build, it could feature different iconic movie posters, depending on which one’s your favourite.

LEGO Ideas 21350 Jaws is available for LEGO Insiders now worldwide for £129.99 / $149.99 / €149.99, ahead of its wider release for all on August 6.
