Don’t expect any LEGO San Diego Comic-Con exclusives this year

The LEGO Group seems to be sticking to its strategy of no exclusives at San Diego Comic-Con again in 2024 as the official website suggests.

The San Diego Comic-Con 2024 Exclusives Portal has not listed the LEGO Group as one of the vendors suggesting a lack of exclusive sets and minifigures at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, The Brick Fan reports.

It’s good news for those not in attendance at the event and it’s become the norm for the LEGO Group at San Diego Comic-Con after years of exclusive minifigures covering rare characters that drew high prices on the secondary marketplace.

Last year, the LEGO Group put all focus into its booth on the show floor and another booth has already been confirmed for this year. The 2023 Brickbuster booth featured some minor exclusive items but nothing that enthusiasts would hate to miss out on.

It would appear that we can, at most, expect a similar selection this year as the LEGO Group is not listed on the exclusive portal. With any luck, it’ll be putting a lot of effort into its booth instead.

San Diego Comic-Con 2024 takes place from July 25 to 28 with attendees including the LEGO Group as well as Marvel Studios with a panel in Hall H, which usually leads to some major Marvel Cinematic Universe announcements.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
