Eight LEGO Star Wars locations we’ve somehow never seen
LEGO Star Wars might be most closely associated with ships and vehicles but there’s plenty of opportunity for sets based on locations – and some as yet untouched.
LEGO Star Wars sets have traversed the galaxy far, far away from corner to corner over the years, with some locations getting more love than others. However, there are some in-universe spots that have never got the full LEGO treatment – but deserve to.
Even after 25 years of producing sets, the LEGO Star Wars team has not yet recreated a number of planets or specific locations. We’ve gathered together some of the most surprising missing recreations here, perhaps in hope of seeing them in brick-built form one day. It’s our only hope.
Kamino
Although Kamino technically appeared in 75006 Jedi Starfighter and Kamino, it was depicted as an entire planet as part of the Buildable Galaxy theme. The sleek buildings and rain-soaked environment of Kamino could provide fodder for some dynamic diorama sets, or even a peek inside the interior where the clones were bred and trained. There are some easy choices of minifigure to populate it, after all, with the option to simply use the same design for a never-ending line of clones.
Alderaan
It’s perhaps understandable why it might have taken a while for us to visit Alderaan in LEGO form. After all, it might play an important role as the home planet of Princess Leia but it’s also destroyed early on in Episode IV: A New Hope. With the debut of Obi-Wan Kenobi on Disney+, however, there’s more reason now than ever before to properly recreate Alderaan with bricks. The most logical location would be the landing platform, perhaps with an Alderaan ship, guards, and a younger Senator Bail Organa.
It’s worth noting that the fact that we got a young Leia as an anniversary minifigure – a collection of minifigures that we’re unlikely to get otherwise – it doesn’t seem like the LEGO Group will have plans to design sets based on Alderaan at its prime. *Insert a joke about a pile of bricks being a good replacement for a post-Death Star Alderaan here.*
The Jedi Temple on Coruscant
Let’s be real, 75378 BARC Speeder Escape doesn’t count as a proper reflection of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, Jedi lamppost or no. The Jedi Temple is one of the most dramatic buildings from the prequel trilogy. The LEGO Group may have been avoiding it due to its associations with Order 66, an event that is understandably not even visited due to its gruesome circumstances, but there are other times that the Jedi Temple could be recreated. A Jedi council meeting, for example, or a training room full of young Padawans.
Lothal
The LEGO Star Wars team has not yet given us a brick-built Lothal and seeing as the Rebels’ iconic ship appeared in 75357 Ghost & Phantom II thanks to its return in Ahsoka, perhaps the same could still happen for Lothal. Give us a Master Builder Series of the LothalNet comm tower E-272, Ezra Bridger’s former hideout that Sabine Wren returned to after his disappearance) and you’ll make an (admittedly small) number of Star Wars fans ever so happy.
Malachor
Another location from Rebels that deserves a LEGO Star Wars set is the rocky wastelands of Malachor. It’s the scene of the iconic battle between Ahsoka and Darth Vader and, purely for the chance of getting Ahsoka and Vader (not Anakin) in the same set for the first time, it’s that fight that we’d want to see recreated. It could even be as simple and compact as 75310 Duel on Mandalore, although we’d love some of the dramatic scenery from Malachor to feature too.
The Senate Chambers
The bigger this set would be, the more repetitive of a build it would surely be, but it’s one that’s perhaps worth the slog. The Senate Chamber features dramatic political and physical battles and is surprising that it’s not yet been officially recreated in brick form. You wouldn’t necessarily need a MBS model of every single pod but at least the central podium and first few rows would be a welcome addition, complete a dual-faced Palpatine and Yoda/Padme, depending on whether you want a physical fight or a political one.
Geonosis Arena
For such a dynamic arena, this is perhaps one of the more surprising entries on this list. Put simply, we need more of Geonosis and especially of the Geonosis Arena, complete with the beasts that Padmé, Obi-Wan, and Anakin are almost fed to (although no one was ever really worried about Padmé, surely). If LEGO Avatar can get all their weird and wonderful beasts, it’s time for this to appear in LEGO Star Wars too.
Exegol
Last but not least, a rare location from the sequel movies that we’d want to see reimagined by the LEGO Star Wars designers. As we see on Malachor, the Sith do like to pick their dramatic locations and Exegol is no exception. Spooky Palpatine clones, a Sith stadium, and perhaps even an appearance from the Knights of Ren could all come together to make for a dramatic final model.
