Final hours to enter LEGO Ideas’ Sonic the Hedgehog challenge

It’s the last call for the LEGO Ideas Sonic the Hedgehog challenge to make LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog more Eggman.

It might seem like a strange request, but the iconic doctor is adamant that the Blue Blur needs a makeover and is still accepting entries for a chance to win a massive, expensive prize package.

The brief for this challenge is simply to make LEGO Sonic more Eggman, in one way or another. There are a few guidelines to follow so check out the challenge page for more details.

At the time of writing, there are 14 hours left to enter the challenge and we’d recommend getting your entry done as soon as possible to allow for any changes to be made with time to submit the model again.

There will be one grand prize winner in this challenge who will take home 21331 Sonic the Hedgehog – Green Hill Zone, 76990 Sonic’s Speed Sphere Challenge, 76991 Tails’ Workshop and Tornado Plane, 76992 Amy’s Animal Rescue Island, 76994 Sonic’s Green Hill Zone Loop Challenge, a Nintendo Switch with Sonic Games and a Sonic graphic novel.

The winner will be determined by a fan vote featuring all submitted entries starting on July 13 and the rest of the users in the vote will win 76990 Sonic’s Speed Sphere Challenge, 76991 Tails’ Workshop and Tornado Plane, 76992 Amy’s Animal Rescue Island, 76994 Sonic’s Green Hill Zone Loop Challenge and a Sonic graphic novel.

The new range of LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog sets, featuring minifigures other than the Blue Blur, releases on August 1 as well as 854239 Sonic the Hedgehog Keyring. Those who need some musical inspiration can listen to Dr. Eggman’s LEGO rap.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
