Five LEGO deals that pair perfectly with upcoming August 1 sets

August 1 is bringing with it some exciting new additions to the LEGO system, and a few have some existing sets that act as the perfect companions.

Several LEGO sets will make their debut on August 1, ranging from some weird and wonderful LEGO Star Wars sets to the next wave of LEGO Animal Crossing. Many work as standalone sets but some deserve another set to display alongside them. To get started sooner rather than later and save your wallet some stretching at the same time, we’ve gathered up some LEGO deals on those exact companion sets. You can save on five sets that pair perfectly with upcoming releases, preparing the ideal LEGO display for when the sets eventually come out on August 1.

First up is 75257 Millennium Falcon, built to seemingly the same scale and size as the soon-to-release 75389 The Dark Falcon. The former is reduced to £139.99, saving you £10 on the retiring LEGO Star Wars set. Seeing as it only has a few months left on shelves, there’s no saying when stock will run out for good. After all, 71395 Super Mario 64 Question Mark Block has already gone, a few weeks ahead of its official retirement date. Now is therefore the time to pick up a deal on 75257 Millennium Falcon if you want to have the perfect dark versus light display of the iconic ship.

Another LEGO Star Wars duo that makes both sets instantly more tempting is buildable versions of the best droid duo in the galaxy. 75379 R2-D2 is reduced by £11 right now, built to the same scale as 75398 C-3PO, coming on August 1. You simply can’t leave them standing on their own, so save yourself a few pounds and get started on the inevitable duo by ordering 75379 R2-D2 for 12% less.

As we mentioned earlier, the next wave of LEGO Animal Crossing sets is also on the way on August 1, marking the sixth and seventh sets to join the fledgling theme. That includes 77052 K.K.’s Concert at the Plaza, bringing the central structure from the digital island into bricks for the first time. Although the entire LEGO Animal Crossing theme is designed to form one interconnected island, the most logical pairing to give a sense of a unified community is putting 77052 K.K.’s Concert at the Plaza next to 77050 Nook’s Cranny & Rosie’s House. Thankfully, the latter is currently reduced by 20% at GAME, bringing the price down to just £52.

Next up are two car-themed combos. With the nearly 3,000-piece 42177 Mercedes-Benz G 500 PROFESSIONAL Line on the way on August 1, display it next to its smaller twin by scoring a deal on 76924 Mercedes-AMG G 63 & Mercedes-AMG SL 63, currently available for just £36. That’ll see you with an extra brick-built Mercedes to boot.

Last but not least, another LEGO Technic set making it onto shelves is 42172 McLaren P1, becoming the fifth set in the LEGO Technic Ultimate series. If you haven’t yet collected them all, now is a good time to pick up a £60 discount on 42143 Ferrari Daytona SP3, reduced to just £329.99 after the 15% discount.
