Five LEGO Marvel Modular Buildings we’re dreaming of

The dust has only just settled on the reveal of LEGO Marvel 76269 Avengers Tower but we’ve already got one eye on future modulars.

The LEGO designers have left a tiny crack open for the possibility of future LEGO Marvel Modular Buildings in a recent interview, with LEGO Senior Designer Justin Ramsden saying: “There’s so many stories to tell so who knows where we’re going to go next in the LEGO superhero line.” While there don’t appear to be any concrete plans for the next LEGO Marvel Modular Building, we can’t help our imagination running a little wild.

With that in mind, we’ve been thinking about some iconic buildings from the MCU (and beyond) that could work well as a Modular Building. Here are five of our top picks if we had to choose the follow-up to 76268 Avengers Tower, 76218 Sanctum Sanctorum, and 76178 Daily Bugle.

5 – Oscorp Tower

While two Spider-Man-focused buildings might be pushing it, we never said that these were going to be wholly realistic suggestions. In fact, a talented builder might even be able to mod 76269 Avengers Tower to look like Oscorp Tower with a bit of creative muscle flexing.

Still, an official build of Oscorp Tower would be an easy gateway to usher in some weird and wonderful villains. Not only Norman and Harry Osborn, but also Dr Connors/the Lizard and his various sidekicks. Depending on what universe we’re in, we could even see Gwen Stacey appearing as an intern, fleshing out the world of Spider-Man still further.

4 – Grandmaster’s Palace

Who says Modular Buildings need to be set on Earth? We’d be excited to see the LEGO designers take on the Grandmaster’s Palace on Sakaar, complete with the sculpted faces of all of his champions. We’ve already got some of the minifigures and characters required (Hulk, Thor, Valkyrie, and Korg), but this would surely also come with an updated Loki, a Grandmaster, and various extravagantly costumed Sakaarian citizens.

We’ve already seen how much colour can be added to even a simple set like 76194 Tony Stark’s Sakaarian Iron Man with some influence from the planet, so a large-scale build with all the vibrancy of life on Sakaar would certainly be a treat for the eyes.

3 – Baxter Building

With a fresh Fantastic Four movie scheduled for release in May 2025 and the appearance of Reed Richards in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, now seems as good a time as any for the LEGO Group to get stuck into the Fantastic Four. The Baxter Building is the headquarters for the Marvel team, emblazoned with the number four on its roof. The 35-storey building is otherwise a fairly straightforward design, and one that could perhaps rival 76269 Avengers Tower when it comes to the recently-established record number of windows.

2 – MCU-style Apartment Block

We got a little creative with this next one, so hear us out. In the aforementioned interview, LEGO Senior Designer Mark Stafford mentioned his personal interest in creating a brick-built version of Deadpool’s brownstone building, inspired by its counterpart in the comics. That got us thinking about the possibility of a New York brownstone, but filled with a number of residents. Not just Deadpool, but Spider-Man, Daredevil, Moon Knight, and Kate Bishop could take up residence inside the classic urban building.

Not only would this mean one of the most recognisable examples of New York architecture would become part of the LEGO system, but the interior could also include a number of different apartment styles, from Kate Bishop’s open-plan loft to Spider-Man’s pokey one-bedroom apartment.

1 – Xavier Institute

Last but not least, we turn to the X-Men. Whether you call it the Xavier Institute, the X-Mansion, or Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters (we can probably work out your age depending on which one you choose), the sprawling house that Professor X offers up to be a home to young mutants is a building so iconic it bled out if its standard X-Men franchise and even briefly appeared in Deadpool.

Unlike many of the options on this list, it brings something new architecturally, being a stately home rather than an urban skyscraper. Plus, the minifigure options are truly endless, with only a few X-Men characters already with modern minifigure designs.
