Five LEGO birds that are perfect to pair with 10331 Kingfisher Bird

LEGO birds are all the rage in early 2024 thanks in no small part to 10331 Kingfisher Bird, and there are more sets you can collect to make a flock.

LEGO Icons 10331 Kingfisher Bird has been officially revealed, launching on February 1, 2024, as the second model in the LEGO Fauna Collection. It’s not the biggest range so far, but those eager to pick up one or both of its sets can expand their flock with a few other models, both available and retired.

Here are five more LEGO birds that will perfectly pair with 10331 Kingfisher Bird, focusing on some of the most detailed or otherwise appropriate builds.

5 – 31211 The Fauna Collection – Macaw Parrots

Price: £44.99 / $59.99 / €49.99 Pieces: 644 Available: Now

While they’re designed in an entirely different style, 31211 The Fauna Collection – Macaw Parrots is the only other current entry in the LEGO Fauna Collection and undoubtedly a good accompanying model for 10331 Kingfisher Bird. Hanging these models on the wall and displaying the Kingfisher on a nearby shelf is just one suggestion on how to pose them together.

4 – 76394 Fawkes, Dumbledore’s Phoenix

Price: £34.99 / $39.99 / €39.99 Pieces: 597 Available: Retired

76394 Fawkes, Dumbledore’s Phoenix is now retired, similar to 75979 Hedwig. For those who already have the set, the LEGO Harry Potter model’s bright design should contrast well with the darker colours of 10331 Kingfisher Bird. Hedwig enthusiasts may want to keep reading as there’s a more detailed LEGO Hedwig currently available.

3 – 31136 Exotic Parrot

Price: £19.99 / $19.99 / €24.99 Pieces: 253 Available: Now

31136 Exotic Parrot and the alternately-coloured 31144 Exotic Pink Parrot may be from LEGO Creator, but their bright colours and level of detail make them good pairings with 10331 Kingfisher Bird. They could even stand in place of, or as well as, 31211 The Fauna Collection Macaw Parrots.

2 – 76391 Hogwarts Icons – Collectors’ Edition

Price: £259.99 / $299.99 / €299.99 Pieces: 3,010 Available: Now

For those with the extra budget, 76391 Hogwarts Icons Collectors’ Edition is another good accompaniment to 10331 Kingfisher Bird at a much higher price. Note that only around half of the model depicts Hedwig the Snowy Owl, though it’s rife with detail.

1 – 21301 Birds

Price: £39.99 / $44.99 / €44.99 Pieces: 580 Available: Retired

A retired LEGO Ideas set is likely the ideal pairing for 10331 Kingfisher Bird. 21301 Birds may have long since retired and be harder to find now, but for those who have one already or are willing to search, the shaping, size and concept of this set closely match the upcoming LEGO Icons model.
