Five LEGO Star Wars minifigures we want to see in January 2025

Some early rumoured details for the LEGO Star Wars January 2025 wave have surfaced, sparking new hope for a few particular minifigures.

Although we’re still six months out, we’ve got some early rumoured details about the first LEGO Star Wars wave of 2025, thanks to the combined efforts of Instagram user childish_landino_chronicles and Eurobricks user FoggyFate. While none of this information is confirmed just yet, it’s already got us thinking about what kind of minifigures could be included in some of the rumoured sets.

5 – Plo Koon

First up is an obvious choice, if the rumoured 75402 ARC-170 Starfighter is indeed on its way: Plo Koon. The LEGO Group has rarely delved into the admittedly dark events of Order 66 but the release of 75378 BARC Speeder Escape on May 1 has changed the game in that respect. That could have opened the door for 75402 ARC-170 Starfighter to be set right before the moment when Plo Koon is shot down during Order 66.

This would mark the first Plo Koon minifigure in over ten years, having last been seen in 75045 Republic AV-7 Anti-Vehicle Cannon. As one of the most unique-looking Jedi Masters out there, a modern redesign would be a more than welcome addition to the LEGO Star Wars theme.

4 – Commander Wolffe

Another option that’s almost as overdue is Commander Wolffe, who served alongside Jedi General Plo Koon during the Clone Wars. Fox and Rex have both appeared as minifigures in the last year or so and, although Wolffe has been rendered in LEGO minifigure form in LEGO Star Wars Castaways like Fox and Rex before him, we haven’t had a physical minifigure since 2016.

Even then, that version of him in 75157 Captain Rex’s AT-TE is an old man, not in prime Clone Wars-era fighting condition. That time of his life was recreated in 2011’s 7964 Republic Frigate but as a LEGO Clone Wars, cartoonish-style minifigure. Perhaps 2025 could be his year.

3 – Clone Wars-era Ahsoka

Speaking of Clone Wars era minifigures, , if the rumours of 75401 Ahsoka’s Jedi Interceptor are true, some obvious minifigure appearances for 75401 Ahsoka’s Jedi Interceptor include Ahsoka and R7. While Ahsoka is far from new even in recent sets, her most current minifigures are based on her look in her titular TV show on Disney+. This rumoured set could be the perfect opportunity to get a modern design on her old-school look – and would be a slam-dunk for nostalgic Star Wars fans.

2 – Clone Wars-era Anakin Skywalker

While Ahsoka and R7 seem to be a given, a price of $44.99 for 290 pieces seems shockingly high, even for modern LEGO Star Wars standards. The rumoured set could therefore also include a bonus minifigure to justify the price and a fitting addition would be a Clone Wars-era Anakin Skywalker.

He and Snips flew Jedi Interceptors together on a few occasions towards the end of The Clone Wars, so it would make sense in a similar way to how there’s more than just a pilot and an astromech in 75301 Luke Skywalker’s X-wing Fighter, for example.

1 – Ric Olie

Speaking of unlikely but welcome minifigure options, the rumoured 75410 N-1 Starfighter could easily head up a new wave of The Mandalorian sets – but it could also be a gateway to return to the Naboo yellow starfighters of old. If so, then we could dive into the realm of untouched Star Wars characters with Ric Olie, the commander of the Naboo Royal Space Fighter Corps and the leader of Bravo Squadron. He had some touching but underrated moments with both Anakin and Padma Amidala and his signature flowing red robes could make for a unique-looking minifigure.
