Five brand new LEGO Marvel and DC minifigures we’ll probably see in January 2025
Rumours are swirling of at least 10 new LEGO Marvel and DC sets dropping in January, and there are at least five brand new minifigures that will likely be in the mix.
From a life beyond Batman to new branches of the Spider-Verse, things are already shaping up to be pretty interesting for the LEGO Group’s two superhero themes in 2025. That’s going on set names reported by Instagram user Brick Clicker, several of which already mention potentially interesting new minifigures (as is often the way for these inherently descriptive product titles).
But even in those that don’t there’s some solid potential for new and intriguing minifigures, whether through entirely fresh characters or simply updated versions or variants of existing heroes and villains. To that end, here are five new minifigures we’ll probably see from LEGO Marvel and DC in January 2025…
5 – Red Hulk
A new Red Hulk bigfig is reportedly on the way later this year as part of the Captain America: Brave New World line-up, but there’s a non-zero chance that the character said to be included in 76310 Iron Man Cars & Black Panther vs Red Hulk is actually a regular minifigure. That would match the green version in this summer’s 76287 Iron Man with Bike and The Hulk, and also feels more likely given 76310 is said to only cost $34.99.
4 – The Spot
The LEGO Group is rumoured to be embracing the Spider-Verse at long last in 2025 with 76311 Spider-Verse: Miles Morales vs The Spot. And if there’s any truth to that rumour at all, our first minifigure of The Spot seems pretty much nailed on. Here’s hoping the LEGO Group can stretch to full arm and leg printing for this one to really sell the effect of his unique look.
3 – Two-Face
We’ve had a handful of different interpretations of Two-Face over the years, but never the one from Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight. That could all be about to change in 2025 though, as the LEGO DC range is said to include 76303 Dark Knight Tumbler – yet another interpretation of Batman’s pointy ride from the 2008 movie. And given we’ve already got Joker, Scarecrow and Bane from Nolan’s trilogy, Two-Face seems like the obvious candidate here.
2 – Ultron
The LEGO Marvel mechs tend to focus on characters’ comic book appearances, so good news for fans of Ultron’s aesthetic in print: the LEGO Marvel January 2025 sets will apparently include 76307 Iron Man Mech vs Ultron. As we’ve already noted, that’s the perfect opportunity to bring us a brand new minifigure version of the synthetic villain, hooked to his comics appearance rather than the several movie versions we’ve had to date.
1 – Anti-Venom
Another LEGO Marvel minifigure that seems like a shoo-in for 2025, Anti-Venom is mentioned by name in 76308 Spider-Man Mech vs Anti-Venom. As his inventive moniker suggests, his outfit is basically the inverse of Venom’s, so predominantly white with black detailing. And if he does appear, he’d be a welcome deep pull from the comics in a LEGO Spider-Man line that has grown a bit stale in the past couple of years.
