Get a closer look at LEGO Marvel Avengers Tower Taxi GWP

More official images of 5008076 LEGO Marvel Taxi have appeared on the LEGO website, offering a better look at the upcoming GWP.

The LEGO Group’s centrepiece Black Friday offering will be 76269 Avengers Tower, due for release on November 24 for £429.99 / $499.99 / €499.99. LEGO Insiders will also be able to pick up a brick-built taxi when they buy the enormous LEGO Marvel set, 5008076 LEGO Marvel Taxi. It’s a classic yellow New York taxi, but sporting a surprise guest of Black Panther and two unwelcome outriders joining the party, as well as a civilian driver.

At 150 pieces, it’s a neat little GWP to pick up, adding some life to the streets around 76269 Avengers Tower. With the building set in the centre of New York City, it’s natural to spot a classic yellow cab traversing the streets.

The inclusion of two outsiders and Black Panther is a little confusing. After all, the two times we see T’Challa face down Thanos’ cannon fodder fighters are in Wakanda and the Avengers Compound in upstate New York, not the urban tower that’s featured in the build. Still, perhaps the trio have been travelling by cab to take their fight into the city centre. Let your imagination run wild!

Although the listing marks a retail value of £17.99 / $19.99 / €19.99, there’s no word yet on what minimum spend might be required to pick up 5008076 LEGO Marvel Taxi. However, with a clear nod to 76269 Avengers Tower in the number plate, we’d expect it to be released alongside the upcoming LEGO Marvel set and with a spend threshold that matches the enormous tower.
