Guide: Using Brick Search to find LEGO Dungeons & Dragons minifigures

The launch of the LEGO Dungeons & Dragons Collectible Minifigures series is near so here’s how to use Brick Search to find every minifigure.

On September 1, 2024, 71047 Dungeons & Dragons hits shelves with 12 new minifigures that may well prove to be some of the most popular in the history of LEGO Collectible Minifigures. Whether you know your Owlbear from an Intellect Devourer or are only interested in the series due to its massive potential for LEGO Castle minifigures, everyone will benefit from knowing one thing.

The Brick Search App’s minifigure scanner has proven to be a useful asset for the last couple of LEGO minifigure series and the team is working hard to get codes working once more for the Dungeons & Dragons minifigures. Ahead of release day, you can download the app on Android by clicking here or on IOS by clicking here and learn how to use the intuitive minifigure-scanner. We’ve prepared a video and a gallery to show you exactly what to do.

Launch the Brick Search app on your device and tap on the blue camera button. This will open the barcode scanner, which also scans data matrix codes on the bottom right of the minifigure boxes. Line up the right-most code on the bottom of the box into the outlined area on the scanner and the contents of that copy of 71047 Dungeons & Dragons will be revealed.

You might also want to use your thumb to cover up the box’s barcode, in case the app tries to accidentally scan it rather than the data matrix code.

There’s one more week until 71047 Dungeons & Dragons launches but that’s plenty of time to get used to the Brick Search app’s minifigure scanner. You can download the app by tapping here on Android or here on IOS or by scanning the below QR code on your chosen device.

Alternatively, those aiming to avoid hunting down the new minifigure boxes can head to The Minifigure store by clicking here to secure a full set of 71047 Dungeons & Dragons‘ 12 minifigures, guaranteed.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
