LEGO 2K Drive Drive Pass Season 4 offers new map, modes and more

The last of the LEGO 2K Drive Year 1 Drive Pass seasons is coming this week as the fourth season brings a new map, mode and more.

As promised when the Year 1 Drive Pass was first announced, the last season of the pass is coming later this week, finally bringing with it a new biome to join Turbo Acres, Big Butte County, Prospecto Valley and Hauntsborough.

The new map is named Stargaze Summit and much like the rest of the season, is based around ice. The key art for the season puts a major focus on Vikings and later races will even take you to outer space. There are seven races, three challenges and nine on-the-go events on the map.

Stargaze Summit is coming as part of a free update to the game on Wednesday will receive the new biome along with the chance to earn 21 free rewards including four vehicles, five brick packs, five drivers and more in Season 4 of the Year 1 Drive Pass.

Those who have already purchased the premium optional Year 1 Drive Pass can also collect 84 Premium Rewards including nine new Vehicles and 10 new Drivers inspired by Vikings and science fiction. Unlike other passes in other games, there’s no time limit on the LEGO 2K Drive seasons and you can complete them at your leisure.

Another exciting addition in the upcoming update is a brand new mode named Goal Karts Hockey. This will see players battle on teams of three to knock a huge puck into a goal. This will be joined by time trials that let players race on a track with no other racers to aim for the fastest time.

Non-competitive modes including the single-player story will also see unique flairs added that will notify players when they’re near a collectable item, melt other racers as well as obstacles and more.

It’s all coming to the game on March 13 as part of a free update and bonus content for those who own the Year 1 Drive Pass. This is the last instalment of the Year 1 Drive Pass and no further expansions have been announced at the time of writing. You can read our review of the full game by clicking here.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
