LEGO 2K Drive sets now offering digital download to some

All three LEGO 2K Drive City sets, and more, are offering a free digital download for one of its unique vehicles, but only in the US so far.

A new LEGO 2K Drive offer has been revealed as the second season of the Year 1 Drive Pass starts. This deal states that with the purchase of any of a wide selection of quality LEGO City sets, including all three LEGO 2K Drive models, you can earn a code for the Scullywagon to redeem in-game.

The full selection of sets is numerous and can be found here but does include 60395 Combo Race Pack, 60396 Modified Race Cars and 60397 Monster Truck Race. However, you can only unlock the Scullywagon from 60397 Monster Truck Race in LEGO 2K Drive.

The deal only counts for sets purchased from Walmart in the US and more information can be found on the offer’s website. Any models bought between August 1 to September 30 qualify for this deal, as long as they are on the list of qualifying sets. Whether this deal will come to other regions has not yet been announced.

None of the LEGO 2K Drive sets include codes to unlock the vehicles in-game as standard, though the vehicles can be purchased in LEGO 2K Drive for an additional cost (or using currency earned through gameplay).

Previous sets based on games have included physical codes to unlock digital content, including 21151 The End Battle for a player skin in Minecraft and 60007 High Speed Chase for missions and vehicles in LEGO City Undercover.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
