LEGO 2K Drive offers Switch players the chance to play for free

Nintendo Switch players will be able to get a flavour of LEGO 2K Drive as part of a free demo via the online shop.

A free demo of LEGO 2K Drive will be available on the Switch eShop in the US and UK, so Nintendo Switch players can try out the game before they buy. The brick-based racing game is already available to buy on Switch, but now you can try out the gameplay for free to see if you want to buy the full version.

According to Nintendo, Switch players will be able to drive around Turbo Acres, the introductory biome of Bricklandia, to put their brick-built digital vehicles to the test. After trying out the demo, this is also a good time for Switch owners to buy the game in full, with a third off in the Switch eShop right now, bringing the price down from £49.99 to just £33.49 in the UK and a similar discount applied in the US.

Even if you’re not playing on the Switch, you’re not going to be left out. This is probably a good time to mention that free sessions are currently underway for PlayStation users, starting yesterday on September 7 and lasting until September 11. Sadly, Xbox players are too late to experience the game for free, with their free sessions taking place last week.

Looking ahead, we also got our first details about Season 2 Drive Pass details, bringing with it new content and vehicles in the spring of next year. All in all, now is the time to try out LEGO 2K Drive if you haven’t already, with exciting stuff around the corner, no matter what console you play on.
