LEGO 40600 Disney 100 Years Celebration could make a return

A popular LEGO Disney gift-with-purchase could be making a return in a few days’ time.

In what’s surely the best year in a long while for LEGO Disney fans, the GWP, 40600 Disney 100 Years Celebration, sold out in less than a day, despite having a relatively high minimum threshold on a specific theme (at least £95 / £100 / €100 on LEGO Disney sets). Now, as reported by The Brick Fan, it could be making a return sometime soon, returning for a limited timed between September 23 and 30.

If true, the GWP could be available at the same £95 / £100 / €100 threshold when purchasing LEGO Disney and Disney DUPLO sets. While LEGO Star Wars and Marvel are technically owned by Disney, purchases outside of the specific LEGO Disney theme will not contribute towards the minimum spend.

Having sold out so quickly, the LEGO Group has presumably done a second production run on 40600 Disney 100 Years Celebration to satisfy demand. As described in our review, it’s a neat GWP that perfectly celebrates Disney’s 100-year milestone. With both the exclusive minifigure and the light brick feature, you get a lot of bang for your buck, despite the pretty high minimum threshold.

It’s not yet confirmed by the LEGO Group that 40600 Disney 100 Years Celebration will be returning again, so take this news with a pinch of salt for now. We’ll of course keep you updated if and when we find out for sure. With the rumoured start date being tomorrow, we’d imagine we’d find out soon either way.
