LEGO 41838 Family Travel Memories revealed

An online retailer has given us our first look at LEGO 41838 Family Travel Memories, a set that includes a winning LEGO MASTERS design.

Previous rumours suggested that the LEGO Group might be releasing sets based on a new Family theme in 2024. In addition to the potential 41939 Message Board, the first of those new models was said to be 41838 Family Travel Memories, with reports claiming the build would also include a winning LEGO MASTERS Season 4 design.

That certainly seems to be the case, if a listing of the latter set by German online retailer Alternate is anything to go by. Thanks to the site we now have our first look at 41838 Family Travel Memories, with the 1,231-piece build measuring 13cm high, 49cm wide and 31cm long and priced at €122.90.

41838 Family Travel Memories includes a buildable world map, a World Wonder Liner jet from LEGO MASTERS Season 4 and four small models of other vehicles. The set also comes with 20 printed 1×1 tiles, presumably for family members to mark where they’ve visited so far or where they may be planning to go on holiday in the future.

In addition, 41838 Family Travel Memories features 10 photo holders for attaching precious memories, similar to those included with 21346 Family Tree. In fact, the two sets do seem to share some of the same DNA, with a focus on remembering those special moments in life.

The World Wonder Liner in 41838 Family Travel Memories is based on a winning LEGO MASTERS Season 4 finale design created by Christopher (DuckBricks) and Robert, although their build was significantly larger at eight feet in length.

The LEGO model also encourages collaborative building, with five instruction manuals included in the set, with the aim being for family members to work together to construct the model and then add their own personal touches.

We’ll bring you more updates on 41838 Family Travel Memories as soon as the set has been officially revealed on the online store. The set is listed as launching on October 1, 2024 (despite early rumours suggested that it would launch on August 1), but those reported details may have been incorrect.
