The first customised version of 11374 Arcade Pinball Machine has been revealed, with a LEGO build perfectly timed for this weekend's FIFA World Cup final.
With most of the planet currently gripped by World Cup fever, it was probably inevitable that someone would eventually offer up a football take on an existing LEGO set. That’s exactly what’s happened with the recently-released 11374 Arcade Pinball Machine, which has had something of a sporting makeover, resulting in a model we’d actually like to assemble ourselves.
The LEGO Builds Instagram account has posted a short video of a unique customised version of the LEGO Icons set, one that takes 11374 Arcade Pinball Machine as a starting point for a new football-based take on the playable game.
The revised build swaps out the LEGO Classic Space look of 11374 Arcade Pinball Machine and drops in all kinds of football-themed elements. Those additions include a net and giant ball (plus diving goalkeeper) at the top of the model, four corner floodlights and two side stands filled with minifigure crowds.
What’s more, the playable aspects of the LEGO Icons set have also received some clever tweaking, with 11374 Arcade Pinball Machine’s bumpers now represented as football boots with red and blue socks, plus there are minifigure players on the pitch and even a referee with yellow and red cards.
Now all we need is for the LEGO Group to release the instructions for the 11374 Arcade Pinball Machine’s football conversion, plus some potential Pick a Brick elements, and we’ll be able to make our own version of the winning World Cup-themed build.
