LEGO Art 31213 Mona Lisa is getting a companion puzzle

The upcoming LEGO Art 31213 Mona Lisa is getting a companion puzzle from Chronicle Books with alternate takes on the iconic brick-built artwork.

The Chronicle Books store has revealed the LEGO Mona Lisa Masterpiece 1000-Piece Puzzle, depicting 31213 Mona Lisa and three alternative versions of the recognisable work of art with different colours and props used to change the subject of the portrait drastically.

31213 Mona Lisa is a recreation of the painting of the same name using 1,503 pieces and the base build includes an option to change the appearance of the portrait.

The puzzle takes this one step further by introducing bubblegum, a moustache and a flower crown while changing the colours of the model too, though it only displays different takes on the LEGO set instead of providing the pieces to create them.

The image that the 1,000 puzzle pieces make up features the standard build of 31213 Mona Lisa on the top left for comparison. Oddly, eight pink shield elements have been added in the picture, despite them being gold on the base set.

The LEGO Mona Lisa Masterpiece 1000-Piece Puzzle launches on October 22, 2024, for $18.95 and is available to pre-order now. 31213 Mona Lisa is also available to pre-order right now and the LEGO Art set launches on October 1, 2024, for £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
