LEGO Harry Potter Back to Hogwarts: New set, GWPs, double points, and deals

September is always a big month for LEGO Harry Potter fans with the LEGO Group and other retailers celebrating Back to Hogwarts with new sets, GWPs, deals, and more.

September 1 is the date that young witches and wizards traditionally head back to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, boarding the Hogwarts Express for another year of magical learning. While we can’t promise you lessons with witches and wizards, you can still enjoy some brick-built magic with the various events and offers available to celebrate Back to Hogwarts.

That includes LEGO Insiders access to 76437 The Burrow Collectors’ Edition, which is available to buy now both online and in stores – as well as some tempting GWPs, a surprise LEGO Insiders double points event on select LEGO Harry Potter sets, and some attractive discounts from a third-party retailer. We’ve summarised all the details below, so read on for free gifts, double points, and more.

LEGO Harry Potter 76437 The Burrow Collectors’ Edition, plus GWPs

76437 The Burrow Collectors’ Edition is available to buy now for LEGO Insiders for £219.99 in the UK, $259.99 in the US, and €259.99 in Europe. It will go on wider release for non-LEGO Insiders from September 4. It’s free to sign up – and you might want to make sure you’re among the first to order, as there are several GWPs to pick up alongside the impressive set, some of which are sure to sell out.

40695 Borgin and Burkes: Floo Network is available on all LEGO Harry Potter purchases over £120 / $130 / €130, acting similar to 40598 Gringotts Vault in that it pairs neatly with 76437 The Burrow Collectors’ Edition. It depicts the dark wizard shop on Knockturn Alley, where Harry accidentally ends up in when Floo Powder-ing from the Burrow.

Purchases of the Burrow will also earn you 5009008 Collectible Weasley Clock if you’re a LEGO Insider, a metal collectible version of the Weasley family’s clock, complete with minifigure heads of all the family members printed on it. Last but not least, LEGO Harry Potter purchases over £35 / $40 / €40 will earn you 30677 Draco in the Forbidden Forest, a returning polybag of the Slytherin boy facing down an owl and a spider in the Forbidden Forest.

Remember that all three of those GWPs will stack, so if you buy 76437 The Burrow Collectors’ Edition you’ll earn all three – while stocks last.

Double points on select LEGO Harry Potter sets

The LEGO Group has also launched a surprise double points event on selected LEGO Harry Potter purchases. We’ve summarised all the sets included in the event in the table below, which includes some recent releases like 76440 Triwizard Tournament: The Arrival and 76439 Ollivanders & Madam Malkin’s Robes, as well as some retiring models that you’ll want to snap up before the end of the year, such as 76407 The Shrieking Shack & Whomping Willow and 76414 Expecto Patronum.

There’s also a wide variety of LEGO Harry Potter BrickHeadz if you’re looking for an excuse to fill out some gaps in your collection and boost your points at the same time.

I write about all the very best fandoms – and that means LEGO, of course. Spending so much time looking at and talking about LEGO sets is dangerous for my bank balance, but the LEGO shelves are thriving. You win some, you lose some.
