LEGO Batman 85th anniversary tribute revealed

It’s Batman Day and as well as a variety of deals, the LEGO Group has revealed a fitting LEGO Batman tribute for the 85th anniversary.

Not only can you take advantage of quite a few LEGO Batman deals on the official online store and in LEGO stores today, but you should take some time to watch the latest video on the LEGO Group’s YouTube channel.

The new video is a fitting tribute to the 85th anniversary of Batman, calling back to various eras of the hero represented in LEGO sets and minifigures over the past decades. Everything from The LEGO Batman Movie to The Batman is covered in the video and quite a few older sets make a cameo appearance.

You can now watch the new tribute video by clicking on the above video just in time for Batman Day. Notably, DC characters beyond Batman briefly appear at the end of the video.

While there are no such minifigures available in the current slate sets and this may be intended as a tribute to LEGO DC’s history, Superman is rumoured to finally be getting another set next year.

The Batman Day celebrations are continuing across the LEGO Group’s social channels today, highlighting the currently available LEGO Batman builds. Keep in mind that many of these are currently scheduled to retire at the end of the year though.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
