LEGO designer confirms Creator 3-in-1 GWP connections

The upcoming LEGO Creator 3-in-1 40691 Mythical Pegasus doesn’t merely look like an existing set, it’s confirmed to be connected inherently to it.

In the wake of the reveal of 40691 Mythical Pegasus on the official online store, LEGO designer George Gilliatt has chimed in to confirm a suspected connection to 31140 Magical Unicorn

The new gift-with-purchase strongly resembles the 2023 LEGO Creator 3-in-1 set and it’s worth noting that Gilliatt is responsible for both builds. This isn’t the only connection between the sets though.

We now know that 40691 Mythical Pegasus is the long-lost sister of 31140 Magical Unicorn, and should anyone know for certain if this lore is accurate, it would be the model designer for both sets.

Beyond these connections, there’s no doubt that there are a few similarities between the builds, and it appears that these are entirely intentional. The two sets should look great together whenever 40691 Mythical Pegasus releases.

The model designer did not share further details of the release of the gift-with-purchase, but we can likely expect confirmation of the threshold and offer period soon. The gift’s reveal timed with the recent end of the trophy GWP suggests this is next on the official online store.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
