LEGO Disney Steamboat Willie GWP sails beyond LEGO.com
The upcoming LEGO Disney 40659 Mini Steamboat Willie GWP is sailing beyond the confines of LEGO shops, coming to another retailer this week.
Traditionally, LEGO gifts-with-purchase aside from polybags are only officially available at LEGO stores and on the online store. However, the recently revealed 40659 Mini Steamboat Willie is surprisingly coming to shopDisney in the US as soon as this week.
Arriving the day before Disney’s 100th anniversary on October 16, October 15 will see those shopping for anything and spending over $150 have 40659 Mini Steamboat Willie added to their basket.

Whether or not this will come to shopDisney in other regions is unknown. Details from a Thai LEGO Certified Store stated that the GWP would be offered between October 23 and 31. Provided that the GWP carries over to the official online LEGO store on those dates, that could mean that shopDisney has early access to the gift.
Official details of 40659 Mini Steamboat Willie’s availability have yet to be confirmed, apart from on shopDisney. The retailer’s unusual access to the GWP and possible early access may be a special occasion to time with the centenary early next week.
