LEGO Fortnite is adding more builds, for a price

More models are coming to LEGO Fortnite soon as the mode is set to introduce a new category of optional add-ons alongside LEGO Styles.

LEGO Kits are coming to LEGO Fortnite soon as the game is adding updates across its modes for the start of a new season. While Greek Mythology is the focus of Battle Royale, LEGO Fortnite is opting for more models for players to use in their world. LEGO Kits launch on March 9 at 7pm ET in bundles in the item shop add a variety of decor items and builds, but not for free.

There will be three LEGO Kit bundles available this month, staggered over the next couple of weeks. These will not be available within LEGO Fortnite free of charge and will require an additional purchase. For longtime Fortnite enthusiasts, the Durrr Burger Bundle may be the most tempting. Otherwise, the  Lion Knights’ Castle Bundle references 10305 Lion Knights’ Castle but doesn’t appear to copy the official set completely.

Builds and decor items from these kits can be placed in your worlds even in survival, where you will need resources to make them as with any other builds. They can also be placed in up to eight of your friends’ worlds per week. It has been confirmed that free builds and content will continue to be added alongside LEGO Kits.

As well as the debut of LEGO Kits, more LEGO Styles are coming to LEGO Fortnite for a variety of new and old Fortnite outfits. These include Beach Bomber, Brite Agent, Burnout, Chomp Sr, Hime, Marshmello, Maven, Spider Knight, Toxic Trooper and Vertex.

Out of these, Marshmello is the latest LEGO Style for a licensed character or real person, based on the music producer of the same name.

Those hoping to hop back into LEGO Fortnite ahead of these new items will need to keep in mind that the LEGO Fortnite social media accounts have confirmed that the game’s current downtime to launch the new season has been extended by at least eight more hours.

Keep in mind that when servers are back online, there will likely be queues to get into the servers as players race back into the game for Battle Royale, LEGO Fortnite and more.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
