LEGO Fortnite Lost Isles update revealed

The next update to LEGO Fortnite is coming soon as details have started to be revealed via influencers and the end of the livestream.

A LEGO Fortnite livestream has been running this week, putting together a giant LEGO Klombo to reveal what’s next for the survival-crafting mode within Fortnite. The stream has officially come to a close, confirming that the next update arrives on September 17.

A short video that followed the livestream has been shared on social media, teasing pirates, a new Peely outfit and something involving the Battle Bus that arrived with the last update.

Further teasing the contents of the Lost Isles update, influencers have been sent a package of items related to it, including a miniature Klombo build and a sticker that showcases exactly what the LEGO creature will look like in-game. Click here to learn exactly what a Klombo is.

A new enemy appears to be on the way too and its head reminds us of the pickaxe in 77072 Peely Bone. Nothing has been confirmed but a Peely-based Brute might fit with the tropical nature of this update. This might be a way for the LEGO Group to fit 77072 Peely Bone into the survival-crafting mode as they did with 77073 Battle Bus.

Also included in the package is a Polaroid camera, similar to 21345 Polaroid OneStep SX-70 Camera, a Bluetooth speaker with a QR code that links to a playlist of music coming with the Lost Isles update, as well as a shirt that replicates the design of a minifigure torso.

It’s unlikely that any of the contents in this package will be sold separately aside from the camera and the speaker but at least it offers the rest of us an idea of what to expect in the Lost Isles update.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
