Even LEGO Fortnite can’t get a new Deadpool Marvel minifigure

There may not be any hope of a Deadpool minifigure in the near future as even LEGO Fortnite can’t seem to get a new LEGO depiction.

To tie in with the recent release of Deadpool & Wolverine, Fortnite has a new Wolverine and Deadpool outfit bundle available in the item shop. Usually, most new outfits in the Fortnite item shop (especially for Marvel) would have a LEGO style but that’s not entirely true this time.

While Wolverine’s new cel-shaded outfit comes with a LEGO style in his individual bundle, Deadpool has no such digital minifigure. Even in the full bundle with all outfits, emotes and more, there’s no digital LEGO Deadpool minifigure.

To date, there have only been a few Deadpool or Deadpool-adjacent minifigures and two of them were limited to San Diego Comic-Con in 2017 and 2018.  The only widely released LEGO Deadpool is in 6866 Wolverine’s Chopper Showdown, which goes for an average of £165.87 on BrickLink for a new copy.

Given the context and recent movies that Deadpool has become associated with, it’s not hard to see why the LEGO Group would avoid this iteration of the character entirely.

Comic-based Deadpool may still be a glimmer of hope for a future minifigure based on the character as the new Fortnite outfit is heavily inspired by the new film.

Fortnite has another Deadpool outfit inspired by the comics and films though that has not received any LEGO style to date. For now, Deadpool and LEGO Marvel don’t seem to mix – even in Fortnite.

Despite the lack of a LEGO style for Deadpool, you can find the new Deadpool and Wolverine outfits in the item shop now. They’re available in individual bundles for 2,000 V-Bucks each or 3,600 together.

Don’t forget that the LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean content is still in the item shop and in the Cursed Sails pass too. A new update to the LEGO Fortnite mode is coming soon as well.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
