LEGO Fortnite rocks out with new Metallica minifigure Styles

The gods of heavy metal themselves will be added to LEGO Fortnite tomorrow, thanks to the game’s new Metallica-themed update.

LEGO Fortnite will receive another substantial update on June 13, with cosy mode and wild mode being added to Epic’s video game, alongside dozens of new Styles and other tweaks. In addition, Metallica will be arriving in Fortnite, LEGO Fortnite, Fortnite Festival and Rocket Racing from tomorrow, with the band bringing plenty of ear-splitting rock-related content.

Band members James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo will be appearing as unique LEGO minifigure Styles as part of the Wrecked season and can be purchased separately or unlocked by completing the Season 4 Festival Pass.

The Festival Pass includes both a free reward track and a Premium Reward Track upgrade, allowing fans access to outfits of the band, Ride the Lightning guitars, the floating Metallica Loot Island, Metallica Quests, jam tracks, Ringer Emote, Backfire Car Body, Chasing Light Wheels and much more.

In addition, Puppet Master versions of Metallica will also be available, complete with flame-emitting eyes and a blazing skull torso. There’s currently no word on how much the various LEGO Fortnite minifigure Styles will cost, but they should all be available in the Shop from tomorrow.

LEGO Fortnite has received a number of substantial updates of late, with the most high-profile recently being a unique LEGO Star Wars adventure, with characters, vehicles and weapons from a galaxy far, far away having been added to the game.
