LEGO Fortnite sets are exclusive to LEGO.com – and available to pre-order now

The launch wave of LEGO Fortnite sets will apparently be exclusive to official channels for at least the remainder of 2024, and you can pre-order them right now.

The LEGO Group has just unveiled four brand new LEGO Fortnite sets launching in October, including 77070 Durrr Burger, 77071 Supply Llama, 77072 Peely Bone and 77073 Battle Bus. They run the gamut from buildable characters to 18+ display builds to minifigure-driven display sets, comprising a wave of sets that’s surprisingly perfect (as video game themes go).

However: all four of those sets are currently listed as ‘Exclusives’ on LEGO.com, which means the only place you’ll be able to buy them is through the official online store or physical LEGO stores. Whether they’ll be exclusive to official channels for the entirety of their shelf life is uncertain at the moment, but there’s a chance that they could be adopting the model of LEGO Icons sets.

With a handful of exceptions – 10305 Lion Knights’ Castle, 10320 Eldorado Fortress and so on – LEGO Icons sets (and similar direct-to-consumer products) tend to go on sale through third-party retailers three months after they launch at LEGO.com. 10334 Retro Radio debuted in June and should theoretically be available from at least one other retailer from September, for example.

The same thing could therefore happen to the LEGO Fortnite sets in January, but only time will tell at this stage. What it means from a practical standpoint is that we’re unlikely to see any substantial discounts on these sets before the end of the year – so if you’re hoping to pick some up for the festive season, you might as well time your order around a gift-with-purchase.

If you’ve got your eye on 40692 Candy Store – currently available with all orders above £180 / $200 / €200 – you might want to pre-order your copies of the LEGO Fortnite sets right now. They’re all available to secure early at LEGO.com, and should ship out with 40692 Candy Store in October (if you order enough LEGO to reach the qualifying threshold).

Buying the entire wave will easily take you above the minimum purchase level, or even just the two biggest sets and one of the smaller two models. Check out all the details on all four sets in the table below.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
