LEGO Fortnite’s next update swoops in soon, including fast travel

The release date for the next major update to LEGO Fortnite has been confirmed, teasing fast travel via the Battle Bus and more.

As expected based on an initial teaser, the LEGO Fortnite team are preparing another update to the survival-crafting mode and some of its contents have been announced.

A new post on X (formerly Twitter) states that the August 6 update will add the ability to sleep until the morning and implies that you will be able to fast travel via the Battle Bus, which may be a way to include 77073 Battle Bus in the mode.

More features are teased too, though the exact details are unknown at the time of writing. The last major update to LEGO Fortnite was released in June with settings to make the mode more challenging or easier and a useful tutorial for earning experience.

The image attached to the teaser includes a depiction of the Battle Bus, but it has yet to be seen whether the vehicle featured in the mode will match the upcoming LEGO Fortnite set.

There may not be an opportunity to include many of the other LEGO Fortnite sets in the mode as they’re not exactly to scale with minifigures, aside from 77070 Durrr Burger

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
