LEGO Harry Potter 76437 The Burrow Collectors’ Edition revealed

An online retailer has shared the first hi-res images of this year’s LEGO Harry Potter direct-to-consumer set, 76437 The Burrow Collectors’ Edition.

Initially teased by a LEGO Certified Store and then mistakenly revealed by the LEGO House Instagram account, 76437 The Burrow Collectors’ Edition inflates the Weasleys’ home up to 2,405 pieces, outstripping either of the previous playset versions of the haphazard house by some distance. That increased budget has allowed for a fully-enclosed structure that hinges open to reveal a detailed interior.

That much we knew from those early looks at The Burrow, but now German retailer Lucky Bricks has published even more images of the upcoming Wizarding World set over on Instagram. That includes a closer look at what’s going on inside the set, with references and details galore packed into each of the relatively tight spaces – from the dishes washing themselves in the kitchen to Ron’s Chudley Cannons poster and bedspread.

We’ve also got a better look at the 10 minifigures included in 76437 The Burrow Collectors’ Edition, which encompass Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Arthur Weasley, Molly Weasley, Fred Weasley, George Weasley, Ginny Weasley, Percy Weasley, Bill Weasley and Charlie Weasley. This marks the debut of the latter two characters in the LEGO Harry Potter line-up, and a rare occurrence of the designers pulling a character specifically from the books (Charlie never appeared on screen).

We’re still waiting on confirmation of pricing for 76437 The Burrow Collectors’ Edition, but Lucky Bricks states it will hit shelves on September 1, in line with previous flagship LEGO Harry Potter sets like 75978 Diagon Alley and 76417 Gringotts Wizarding Bank Collectors’ Edition. Early adopters will likely also receive the two newly-revealed Wizarding World gifts-with-purchase: 5009008 Collectible Weasley Clock and 40695 Borgin and Burkes: Floo Network.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
